Treatment Philosophy
Becoming a doctor was my childhood dream. I became an orthopedic surgeon because I enjoy the challenges of restoring function to a patient’s arm and hand. There are so many parts to the upper extremity – bones, joints, tendons and muscles. Being able to restore function to the arm is critical for returning to work, sports and life. I spent 11 years in the United States Navy and there was nothing more rewarding than returning a young sailor or marine back to duty after a devastating injury. I understand the care and precision it takes to get all my patients back to what they love doing the most.
